This June, The Annex celebrated Pride month the only way we know how: with a dope-ass party. We called up our friends at Grindr, the O.G. swipers, and brought local drag superstar Lucy Stoole to host a night of all-around fabulousness at 1620 W. Chicago Ave.

With Hijo Pródigo and aCeb00mbaP laying down the soundtrack and voque troupe House of Ninja battling on the catwalk until the sun came up, it was one of the most packed nights at the Annex we’ve seen all year.

@LucyStoole was born out of boredom as a Riana Ross one-off Halloween costume, but has blossomed into Chicago’s premier Black bearded beauty with a hankering to be free. She describes herself not as a transition of male to female, but a superflux of many different things.
